When did you realize you loved creating art?

It's a big question I know. When I was little I loved singing and dancing. It wasn't until freshmen year when I was introduced to art. My art teacher was so versatile. He made sure that we understood all types of art and when we found our thing he made sure we really focused on that area of art.
I loved sketching in our sketchpad. It was the best part of my day. I was able to escape and just be. I still have those sketchpads. I show my kids now and encourage them to draw or tap into their creative soul and in different ways. It's important, art is important!
Was there something that really shaped your creative soul in your life? If so, let me know how. I love hearing those stories and what art did for people.
